About Isabelle

I'm Isabelle Beckers. At the age of 34 I’m considered grandmother in my sports. But my race experience can be compared with the one of a junior rider. I am a professional cyclist for the Lotto Soudal Ladies with 4 cycling seasons in my legs and a history in sports of 23 years. Atletics formed my base, triathlon introduced me to my bike. In other words, you can’t really call me an average cyclist. Becoming a pro-athlete has always been my dream. The way was long but I made this dream come true.

As I chose to basically go from zero cycling experience to racing UCI-races, I had a lot of questions that needed to be answered on very short-therm. Me, forcing myself to a knowledge more than the basics, made me realise that I could share all this info to make riding on a race bike easier for all women. On La Ridley I try to translate my lack of experience into the advantage of being a help to others by making that step towards cycling as a sport, lower.

Being part of the elite ladies peloton gives me insights only competition riders are able to have. There are so many things to tell. Each training and every race has his own story. As we are one La Ridley community, it is my goal to share my experiences with you guys!
