Flats, heels, boots, ballets, sandals, clogs, platforms, wedges, strappy, buckled, lace-ups, peep-toes,… I LOVE shoes. I feel my heart race when I look at shoes I am considering buying and feel great happiness when I wear them the first time. I know that I need to have shoes like I know that I need to eat and breathe. Perhaps I wouldn’t die if I had to wear the same dull pair of shoes for the rest of my life but some part of me would wither and fade. Sometimes when I think about the things I would grab if my house were on fire, I think about my shoes. I feel pretty confident that I would make sure my dogs were safe first, but after that I would grab my shoes.
I am far from the only woman who feels this way. Most of us do. On average, a woman owns 20 pairs of shoes at any given time. Many own more. Exactly that fact brought me to ‘Cycleur de Luxe‘.
Casual shoes with details referring to the bike. Seriously, how cool is that! I am so proud of my find…
The Belgian shoe brand Cycleur de Luxe finds its inspiration in the rich cycling history of its country of origin. This trendy lifestyle collection is made of quality leather and mainly manufactured in Europe. The brand was founded in 2012 and became a favorite go-to for many cycling lovers in several European countries. In meantime, the brand is expanding rapidly and available in the USA, Canada, and Korea as well.
And beside designing and selling shoes, this brand has two noble goals (and the matching hashtags to be used on social media).
The #cycleurmovement aims to motivate people to live a fashionable, and healthy lifestyle, while respecting our environment. For example, Cycleur de Luxe encourages people to trade the car for the bike whenever possible. And that is #climatecool!

A big thank you to La Bottega where you can find (and maybe buy) the Cycleur de Luxe shoes, for letting us use their shop and bistro as a beautiful location for the photo shoot.
